Paleo Meal Plan #14 with Mr. Weber & Ole Smokey

Fire Up The Grill!

When this time of the years rolls around, it is rare that you will find me or my family inside.  We practically move the entire contents of our house outdoors.  Heck, I even take my naps outside!  I LOVE THE SPRING!!!

This also means we are eating and cooking outside as well.  Now, I must admit, I am not the griller of the family.  That would be Hubby.  I’ve tried to fire up the grill a number of times, but not enough to be consistent.  So every time I think about approaching Mr. Weber, I have to start the whole “getting to know you” process all over again.

I don’t have time for that!

So for now, Mr. Weber, ‘Ole Smokey’ and Hubby can hang out, and I’ll just get to know them another day.  Plus, I enjoy seeing Hubby out there in his kingdom – Jim Beam and coke in hand, focused on the mission.

So, enjoy some of the grilled fare featured below, and if you are like me and don’t have a thing for grilling, invite someone over who is (or just pull out your stove top grill – no one has to know.) [Read More…]

Simple Yet Flavorful! Honestly, I don’t have much to say about this one other than there are some super easy and very tasty meals and sides with this plan!  Most of the dinners are as easy as tossing vegetable with some oil and seasonings and throwing them in the oven. Meatballs, baked salmon, grilled or […]

Paleo Meal Plan #12 and Spring Recipes

Spring is Here! This meal plan reminds me of Spring!  Mango smoothies, grilled asparagus, fresh pesto, figs and proscuitto, & a summer veggie rice bowl – YUM! This is definitely my most favorite time of the year!  All the trees are budding.  Daffodils, tulips, phlox, and so many beautiful perennials are bursting forth from the […]

April 16, 2014

Four For The Price of One! Sooooo…..once again I have been distracted by all the goings-on in our life, and have been unable to get my meal plans posted.  I have, however, been getting them onto a Word document (for my benefit), but have not had the time to get them onto the blog (for […]

Paleo Meal Plan #10 and a Bit About a Book

Blame The Bug! I know it has been awhile since I last posted a meal plan (6 weeks, to be exact), and all I can say is that it all started with a bug – a stomach bug that went through our entire family (minus Hubby, of course) and all at the same time!  It […]

Nourished Paleo Meal Plan #9

Shopping Tip:  Pay with Cash! This is something that my husband and I have been doing for awhile now, and it really helps to cut back on unintentional spending. Every Monday, I pull out my allotted cash for the week (to include groceries, miscellaneous, & a personal treat) and once it’s gone, it’s gone.  So, when […]

Nourished Paleo Meal Plan #8

Paleo, still our main fare… Well, this post is actually a week late, and I’m not even sure why.  But it just goes to show that I’m human like the rest of you and sometimes life just happens! I mentioned last week that I am going to attempt some Nourishing Traditions recipes in my future […]

Just Do It: Take a Walk and Change Your Perspective

“Just Do It” “Just Do It”.  These were Hubby’s words to me last night as I moaned and groaned about my desperate need to get back in an exercise routine.  Oh, how I HATE those words sometimes! He’s totally right (and don’t tell him I said so), but I was looking for sympathy and a […]

Nourished Paleo Meal Plan #7

What is Nourished Paleo? Actually, as far as I know, it’s a term I made up.  As I’ve mentioned before, the main reason we eat Paleo is because of my children’s food allergies.  We became Cavemen inadvertently as I continued to discover foods that their bodies would not digest, not because I necessarily agree with […]
